By accessing or using the La Grange Window Coverings website located at https://www.lagrangewc.com or by engaging our window treatment services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Services Description

La Grange Window Coverings provides custom window treatment services for residential and commercial properties across Sonoma County and surrounding areas. Our services include:

• Free in-home and on-site design consultations with fabric samples and product demonstrations
• Precision window measurement performed by our installation team
• Custom ordering of window treatments from Hunter Douglas, Somfy, Hartmann & Forbes, Conrad, and other manufacturer partners
• Professional installation of blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and motorized window treatment systems
• Post-installation support, adjustments, and warranty service coordination

All services are provided by La Grange Window Coverings, owned and operated by Veronica Thompson, from our location at 8944 Brooks Rd S, Windsor, CA 95492.

Free Consultation Policy

La Grange Window Coverings offers complimentary in-home and on-site consultations at no cost or obligation. During your consultation,Veronica Thompson will bring fabric samples, demonstrate product options, measure your windows, and provide a detailed written quote. There is no charge for this service and no obligation to purchase. Consultations are available throughout our service area, including Windsor, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Novato, and surrounding communities.

Ordering & Payment

Once you approve your window treatment selections and written quote, the ordering process begins as follows:

• Deposit, a deposit is required at the time of order placement to initiate production with our manufacturer partners. The deposit amount will be specified in your written quote.
• Balance Due, the remaining balance is due upon completion of professional installation.
• Payment Methods , we accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.

All custom window treatments are made to order based on your specific window measurements. Due to the custom nature of our products, orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun. Please review your selections and measurements carefully before approving your order.

Installation & Workmanship Guarantee

La Grange Window Coverings guarantees the quality of our professional installation work. If any issue arises with our installation within the first year following completion, we will return to your home or office and resolve the issue at no additional charge. This workmanship guarantee covers mounting hardware, bracket alignment, operational functionality, and the overall fit and finish of the installation.

Product Warranties

Window treatment products we install carry manufacturer warranties provided directly by the respective manufacturers. As an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer, Somfy motorization partner, and Hartmann & Forbes authorized dealer, we facilitate warranty claims on your behalf. Key warranty coverage includes:

• Hunter Douglas , limited lifetime warranty on most product lines, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
• Somfy , separate manufacturer warranty on motorization components, motors, and control systems
• Hartmann & Forbes , manufacturer warranty on natural fiber shades and woven products

Warranty terms and coverage vary by product line. Veronica Thompson will explain the specific warranty applicable to your selected products during your consultation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, La Grange Window Coverings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific products or services giving rise to the claim.

La Grange Window Coverings is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturer production schedules, shipping carriers, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will communicate proactively about any expected delays affecting your order.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the Dispute Resolution section below, any dispute that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sonoma County, California, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Please read carefully. This section affects your legal rights. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, our website, our products, or our services (a “Dispute”) will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except as set forth below.

Informal resolution first. Before initiating arbitration, the party raising a Dispute will send written notice describing the Dispute to the other party and the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.

Arbitration location and procedure. Arbitration will be conducted in Sonoma County, California, or by telephone or video conference at the consumer's election. Each party will bear its own attorneys' fees and costs, except as the arbitrator may award under applicable law. The arbitrator may award any individual relief a court could award.

No class actions. YOU AND LA GRANGE WINDOW COVERINGS AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, REPRESENTATIVE, OR PRIVATE-ATTORNEY-GENERAL ACTION.

Exceptions. Either party may bring (i) claims qualifying for small-claims court in the county of your residence, and (ii) claims for injunctive or other equitable relief to protect intellectual-property rights, in the courts identified under Governing Law above.

Opt-out right. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to the address listed under Contact Information within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your full name, mailing address, and a statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless La Grange Window Coverings, its owner, employees, and authorized agents from and against any third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of our website or services, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right. This indemnity does not apply to claims arising from our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms (including any portion of the Dispute Resolution section above) is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction or an arbitrator, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if it cannot be so modified, severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The waiver of class actions within the Dispute Resolution section is not severable; if that specific waiver is found unenforceable, the entire Dispute Resolution section is void and the dispute will proceed in court.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our website or services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. You may discontinue using our website at any time. The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, Governing Law, and Severability, will continue to apply after termination.
